Sean Ogle – Adventurer

Sean Ogle runs Location180 and Breaking Eighty while crossing things off his bucket list and “doing the stuff most people just talk about doing.”  These are his good things.

Good Things to Read.

Influence by Robert Cialdini.  It doesnt matter who you are or what you do, you’re always being persuasive. Whether you’re trying to convince someone to buy your product, or simply go to your favorite restaurant on a Friday night, knowing how to persuade is one of the best skills you can have.

Dream Golf.  The story of how they built a world class golf resort in the middle of nowhere Oregon. Obviously a great read for golfers, it’s also appealing to people who just want to see how a crazy idea that many said was impossible has come to be.

Flood Tide by Clive Cussler.  Because sometimes a trashy adventure novel can be just as beneficial as non-fiction

Good Things to Watch.

Jiro Dreams of Sushi.  One of the best stories of passion and work ethic that you’ll ever seen, and will have you ready to fly to Japan for the most expensive meal of your life.

Vlog Brothers.  Hank and John create entertaining and easy to understand videos on everything from health care reform to the war in Syria. If you want to better understand the world around you in 10 minutes or less, pay attention to these guys.

White Collar.  Think Ocean’s 11 meets Thomas Crown Affair meets CSI. Great show.

Good Things to Use.

Bose QC15 Headphones.  I work in busy places: coffee shops, coworking spaces, airplanes. These headphones have completely changed my life when it comes to being able to work in places where distractions run rampant

Focus@Will.  Specially formulated instrumental music that is s supposed have the same effect on focus as add medication. I don’t know the science behind it, it could just be placebo, but it works. I use it almost every day, and when I turn it on, my body now knows it’s time to get down to work.

WordPress.  Simple and obvious maybe, but WordPress has been the foundation for every business and website that I’ve created.
